Meet the Team: Phil

If you’ve spent any time on a Frontline site, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Phil.

He’s been part of the team for more than 13 years and in the drilling game for around 17. A bloke who knows his way around a rig and still loves what he does!

Phil’s journey started in a powder-coating factory in Perth before a mate introduced him to drilling. One truck licence and first aid ticket later, he was out in the fresh air and hooked.

As one of our supervisors, Phil’s mornings start with team briefings before moving between drill activities, mechanical problem solving, safety checks, and mentoring crew members. He’s known for keeping things running smoothly, supporting his team, and always putting safety first.

Off site, you’ll find him in the shed working on cars, caravanning with his family, or cheering on Freo (it’s a tough life…).

Phil’s experience, attitude, and pride in his work are exactly what Frontline is built on.

He also celebrated his birthday over the weekend. Happy birthday mate, hope it was a good one with the family!
